New Engage Victoria consultation

The Victorian state government, through the Engage Victoria website, has opened another consultation that the SRRCG believes is worthwhile responding to.

This consultation is quite technical and requires a lot of pre-reading and responses to specific questions related to the discussion paper and draft handbook.

Although anyone can respond, we don't expect many individuals to do so.

Instead, we are looking for people who have relevant expertise to join a working group that will respond on behalf of our community.

If you have any knowledge or expertise in ecology, biodiversity, or endangered species in relation to the Strathbogie Ranges and Middle Goulburn area, and wish to contribute to the working group, please contact me via email to info@srrcg.com

An example of the level of detail we include in these submissions can be seen in our response to the previous consultation for the Victorian Transmission Plan Guidelines. Some elements of this previous submission, particularly the Biodiversity section, are also relevant for the current submission (A better approach to managing the biodiversity impacts of renewable energy). You can read or download the full submission from our website https://srrcg.com/resources/presentations#submission-to-vicgrid

Submissions to the current consultation on the biodiversity impacts of renewable energy close on Saturday 16th February 2025.

Strathbogies Responsible Renewable Community Group

The Strathbogies Responsible Renewables Community Group is focussed on a fact based, respectful and inclusive process regarding Fera Australia's windfarm and powerline proposal for the Southern Strathbogie Ranges. The Strathbogies Responsible Renewables Community Group (SRRCG) is a registered legal entity which has been formed at the behest of the local community to campaign to convince decision makers not to approve the Project.
